Our Story
About Us
Founded in 1995 by Luca Solari, the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana has become a reference in Italy and worldwide not only for all those who want to learn the goldsmith art in order to make it a profession, but also for amateurs who it want to practice for pure passion. Today the School has three locations in Milan, with 92 stations, 24 different courses and 35 Masters.

Since 2023, the SOA is official partner of the Maison Buccellati, one of the greatest excellences of Italian and world High Jewellery, for which the School is honoured to train the Masters. The high quality of teaching has led the SOA to collaborate with the most important brands in world jewellery, developing partnerships in Italy and abroad with major companies, universities, foundations and institutions. Named by Altagamma as the best jewellery school in Italy, it has placed hundreds of young people in national and international manufacturers and supported all those students interested in opening their own businesses or taking over the family ones.
The secret of this success lies in the careful mix of cutting-edge training, small numbers – maximum 4/5 students per Master – and the pursuit of excellence in a family atmosphere, comfortable and safe.
The Headquarters are located in central areas of Milan, close to trains and subways and very easy to reach.
All three SOA Headquarters also provide a very affordable, full-time co-working space through the SOA Lab & Factory. The SOA Lab & Factory is very popular among our students, some of whom open their own business within the SOA location itself.
