Enamelling

The Enamelling Course will teach you a very ancient method for giving colour to metals. Our School is one of the few that still teaches this precious and fascinating technique. Siliceous powders and metal oxides melt in furnaces at 700 °C and generate glassy patinas with extraordinary colours that remain unaltered over time. Great patience and attention to detail are the skills required to our students.

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the Course program.

Program

Dry enamelling techniques, wet enamelling, cloisonné enamelling, a jour, on cast or chiselled objects; application of paillons, murrine, or other materials. Use of templates for decoration.

Available all year round, excluding holidays

Course frequency

At the pupil’s choice. Once the days and shift have been chosen, a possible start date is agreed with the School
